This close up encounter with a maple branch is created by the artist using a new technique that renders the bark with so much texture that the viewer must touch it in order to feel the smoothness of the paper. Only the richest pigments and finest sable brushes went into the making of this painting. The perspective is quite unique and seems to pull one upward and into the air with the branch.
