Little Nanny is a watercolour on illustration board. She is painted on acrylic gel medium which encourages pooling of the paint in areas achieving an interesting loose look in a realistic image. This little girl died in the early 1800's and was immortalized in a statue at her grave by a grieving father. The beautiful setting is an ancient cemetery with lovely old landscaping and huge trees. This creates a serene background for a charming little girl.
